Hello fellow language lovers!
I was brought up in a multilingual family and cherished the fact that I could speak many languages. This is a gift I wanted to share with my little one. However, it is tougher now as unlike for me growing up, my little girl does not have much of a Francophone community for her to practice her French with.
This site was created for others like me who wish to expose their children to the French language wherever possible. After all, their minds are effortlessly absorbing language structures and sounds. In conjunction, I am hosting classes for free at our local public library - there is more information on the Event Calendar page as well as at the following Meetup.com page:
http://playgroup.meetup.com/1338/
I am hosting these meetup sessions to encourage her and other babies and tots to hear the language spoken around her and to her by others.
This is my first website, it has lots of design limitations and challenges to work through. I hope it will nevertheless be of help to you and help you along with developing French language proficiency for you and your little one(s).
A tip, take it a step at a time, if this is a new language for you. Plan a playtime with your child where you regularly introduce the language structures to her via songs, rattle or puppet games.
Bonne chance! (Good luck!)
